SHOP WORK THIS WEEKEND

Painted the coils, brackets, front caliper, and rear brake rod, with black Imron. Not much else on BMW waiting on parts.

 Stripped the paint off of Travis's tank and my SR frame, this was a long tedius fucking job it sucked but the results are worth it.

Then I moved the cap up to the top front panel so it will hold more gas, and it looks much more proper. This doesn't seem like much but it ate most of the weekend. Hopefully with a little luck this week, I will have the BMW as a roller, and Travis's tank done.

IN THE SHOP

Josh picked up a Mac 4 into 1 header for hi Anchor Built CB550 custom. I mounted it up and needless to say it is going to have to have a little fab work. So I mounted the muffler on the rear up pipe of the frame, and as soon as the 2 1/4 elbow gets here I can cut it into a bunch of small pieces and weld up a connector pipe. I think this going to turn out nice, and get the soot behind the bike instead of all over the back half. The other picture is of the Acewell speedo tach I mounted on my XS. Trying to keep a good eye on things. I will let you Know how it works out.

BMW PROJECT

 Tonight I turned out a pair of shock bushings for the BMW.

 Finished bushing and stainless hardware.

Mounted unit.

AT THE SHOP THIS WEEKEND

 Started out Saturday morning picking up Josh's for a new exhaust.

 Then Chuck and I mounted fresh rims and tires on BMW.

 Then assembled the cylinders and heads.

 Mounted steering damper.

Then the I.D. plate, then ran out of parts. This bike is turning out to be a super nice cafe racer that is going to make everyone involved very proud.

SWAP MEET

Chuck and I rode out to swap meet this morning, got there about 8:30 walked the whole meet and split about 10:00. We did not buy a thing, talked to Aaron, saw a lot of good deals on project bikes, and froze our ass's off, but had a good time. Had to stop at Mickey D's for coffee to warm up on the way home, thats the only picture I took. Lame I know.
