Was planning on powder coating the wheels gold.
But after dismounting the tires and a good washing the original Lester finish looks too good to change. A little polishing on the lips and they will be ready for tires, and they should be here this week.
The Renthal bars Ryan donated to the project need to be drilled and all the internal wires transfered from the way to tall original bars to the much lower track bars.
All the calipers, master cylinders, tree's, lower legs, will be cleaned up and bead blasted and painted black Imron.
And these shiney parts will be shined back up.
Rear end needs a good cleaning and the swing arm will get a coat of black imron.
The exhaust manifolds were blasted and Chuck, and Joe, and I started building an exhaust system.
Used some old discarded Harley pipes and came off the left manifold, wrapped around in front of the rear tire,,,,
crossed over,,,,
Using a discarded Y pipe from an HD Bagger,,,,
atached on the right side to a short sporty style muffler,,,,
and finished it up with a little curve cut elbowed I made. This is probably the best built , best fitting system to come out of Past In Time. Now a little grinding and some black hiheat Krylon, and a big hurdle in this build is done.Much thanks to Joe and Chuck for all the good ideas and help. This is the best part of these builds, when you can get some buddy's over and do some good thrashing together. The older I get the more these kind of days mean to me.Thanks guys!
